Description
This extraordinary herbal tea, known as “Date Seed Coffee”, has a taste similar to coffee but much milder, and is caffeine‑free with a warm and dry character. We recommend date seed coffee on stressful days to relieve fatigue for everyone, especially those sensitive to caffeine.
In our new blend we also added a little cardamom to give it a complete and attractive flavor.
Ingredients:
Date seeds, cardamom
*Note: We use the date seeds that are separated for making syrup or chips to make date seed coffee.
How to prepare:
There are various methods for making date seed coffee, which we will describe here. We like the first method the best!
Method 1:
Use a flask for brewing. For each cup of boiling water, add 2 teaspoons of date seed coffee into the flask and let it steep for at least half an hour until it turns light red.
Method 2:
One way to serve this coffee is using espresso machines. These machines, by creating 14 bars of steam pressure on the coffee powder, cause the expansion and separation of date seed coffee molecules, and in addition to extracting maximum color, aroma, and flavor, they create a natural coffee foam on the cup, giving a more pleasant taste to the prepared coffee.
Method 3:
Use a moka pot (moka kettle). These devices, by generating steam with 4 bars of pressure on the coffee powder, can produce appropriate color, aroma, and flavor from the coffee.
Method 4:
Use a French press (special herbal tea cups). You can add 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of date seed coffee along with a cup of boiling water into these cups, then place them on the steam of a samovar or kettle for 5 minutes to brew, and after pressing the filter, drink the remaining coffee until the end.
Method 5:
If you do not have any of the mentioned devices, you can use a Turkish coffee pot (cezve). Add 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of coffee into it, add a cup of boiling water, and brew for 5 minutes, then drink. Or you can do the same in a small pot and place it on a kettle for 5 minutes.
